Michelangelo's David, after a visit to the US

The statue of David, by Michelangelo, spent an extended time in the
US. Here's how it looked when it came back home. The sponsors for its
stay here in the US were: McDonald's, Burger King, KFC and Starbucks.
Isn't it nice that they took such good care of him?

A 500 kV switch opens

This video made the rounds a couple of years ago. Every time I see it, I'm still in awe. The huge sparks of electricity that arc through the air and the sounds they make definitely let you know you need to keep your distance.

Isuzu Gemini "Dancing in Paris"

This video contains the most amazing assembly of perfectly executed car stunts I have ever seen. The series was called "Dancing in Paris", and featured Isuzu Gemini cars moving in sync, jumping through the air and performing other feats, all done in the most amazing locations in Paris -- places where historic landmarks could get seriously damaged if something went wrong. I cannot imagine how many cars it took to do the stunts, the amount of planning that went into each scene, and the amount of talent and experience that each stunt driver must have had. All I can say is that the end result is stunning.

The Japanese Acrobats from 1904

A short film recorded by Thomas Edison himself on April 29, 1904. It features two Japanese acrobats. It's very likely one of the first film sequences ever filmed.
